The Cross Bench

The Cross Bench is interested in redefining the legs of a bench to create an interesting underside while still providing stability and support that is evenly distributed. Utilizing thick members for lateral support and crosses that intersect at 90°, the design was optimal for ease of construction to ensure that all pieces on each side could intersect multiple legs at once without complicated the cutting of each necessary notch. This regulated the number of angles required for manual cutting and allowed the use of inverse angles for consistent connections.
